Simple life, is it good?

It has been long time since my last note. I just want to drop one idea/thinking that is for me is fabulous.

From my sight, there is always a need and a desire when we are dealing with daily routine in life. Needs are the thing we require the most; which are for example:

Foods and drinks
Clothes
House
Transportation

Yes, those are the needs. If a man is provided by these items, he can live ‘happily’. My ideas are actually, we know that the needs are the most holes that money is spent into, but if we buy them just at a little more in term of quality, we might get :

Healthy foods and drinks
Decent clothes
Reliable and comfortable house
Reliable Transportation

By selecting these items carefully before we buy, we can get a slightly better quality goods and consequently better life. Therefore, I really recommend for all salary earners (like me myself) to choose and consider the quality of the needs.

Beginner in stocks investment put me in a high risk zone. Realizing that during quarter age, I got some flexibility on pouring some money to test the market.. Now I’m really eager to learn about stocks market. Actually my knowledge and my coverage is limited to local market, KLSE. Learning about investment and you have nothing to lose. Yes, indeed. Books, internet and people from market itself, I refer and post my queries to. Do you know that the fastest learning method is having a mentor, aka guru.They will teach you from A to Y.. the Z, they will keep to themselves.

I encourage every young graduate and new professional life starter commence on learning financial knowledge. It’s recommended and essential towards having a proper and prosper life. Managing debt and managing ‘Own business’ are some of the skills required. Hey young people who read this, start investing on learning on financial literature. You will know how to differentiate between Assets and Liabilities. Throw some money to buy books, ebooks, attend a seminar about investment, further to save hundreds thousands at your golden years..

I express my gratitude on some writers who enlighten me in money matters. For a figure, if you invest in one market capital stock early june 2010, now you will get a profit up to 45% !!

2nd chance

I was watching a documentary about survival of airplane crash into Hudson river. Total is about 154 persons on-board have been saved. They were so relieved by the fact that everyone was safe. News journalist interviewed them about the last moment before and during crash. One of the guy typed ‘last’ text and managed to send to his beloved family saying that he loved them, and take care of his children. The guy told that from that moment, the way he give hug to his family, the feeling is different. He feel more appreciate and want to hold them with care. This is when he is given ‘second chance’..

What really intrigue me is the feeling of second chance. I should be live the life with the highest appreciation and reflect the best effort as I can when it comes to any demand of happiness and self-worth. I should not wait until the day of second chance arrive to do whatever I wish to do. It’s the TIME or NOT. My religion tells that, ‘You should live the life as if you will die in 1000 years, but you should pray and worship for GOD as if you will die tomorrow’…

Live the moment you have now, make effort and do great things, contribute to others, pray, love.. until the last second before you die. Never regret!

first sight: world is full of opportunities

This point get into my mind while talking about life. It happens that a friend of my friend considers any circumstance is an opportunity in whatsoever place. Ok, let me explain a lil bit, sometime we want to initiate something IF we have a THING or a STANDARD or MONEY. We say to ourselves, “I don’t have ENOUGH money to do the BUSINESS”, instead, “I have a very good IDEA to start a BUSINESS”… DO your wording in a positive way, such as “I CAN do it in 3 years of time”, “I HAVE this amount right now, next year it should be better”, “That position SUITS me in next 5 years”… say it LOUD. HAVE a SELF BELIEF.

Trust yourself and don’t underestimate your capability. Everyone can underestimate your competency but NOT you yourself. Don’t wait until 100% perfect to initiate a step. Even you have 80% perfect is already alright. Take the very first step and do BABY steps, one after another, improve while you can, progress and see the outcomes. Learn to cut lost if you see it deviates a lot more than you expect, and nevertheless PROTECT your investment. Learn to accept every opportunity comes to your life as it is, just grab it when it’s 80% good.

See things DIFFERENTLY and do not TELL the DREAMS to anyone. It’s because according to a research, when you told someone about your dreams, automatically your mind sets it as 70% done but in reality it’s zero. Mind realize the dreams are REAL and no good for your sub-conscious mid.

Think about it, place, people, circumstance and your environment you belong to provide you a lot of opportunity. Stay foolish and stay hungry.

It happens when I keep searching for stability. This life is like a circle, sometimes I am at the top and sometimes at the bottom. Hard work or suffer before achieving a result/mission is more appreciative than getting something effortless. Nowadays, there are many ways to make a dream comes true, some of them are written or learn-able via a lot of media and gurus. Life becomes stagnant and linear after having some stability, having a decent car, a spacious modern house and a happy family. Could it be more challenging and intriguing on doing something out of normal, I mean just above the normal, I won’t encourage you to land on moon.

Counting the days and years consumed, I think there should be more thing to do than just some visiting big grand shopping malls, having fined diner in restaurant and than just surfing border-less internet.. Spending 10 hours per day in the office will take 30% of my life up to age of 50. Let’s say I sleep 6h per day, it means 25% will be gone. Thus, I only have about half of my life to spend in anything else. Ok, think about the 45%, due to up and down scenarios, let’s cut the portion into 2 pieces, UP and DOWN. Now, I take the UP portion, in this portion there is a time which can be called ‘good time’, EVERYONE should experience the so called GOOD TIME. This is the time when we feel pleased and delighted. What a ‘nice and good old time’, some said.

Today, I shook hand with a colleague and said ‘Have a good time, mate!’… I feel good even I don’t know how the real good time for him. Nevertheless, I wish all my blog readers.. “Have a pleasant good time with your entourages, Cheers!!”

Networking

I realize all my surrounding consist of multi-complex networks. They are mixed, combined, overlapped, intersected with each other. From the earliest moment I live in this world, I have my parents and my siblings; this is a family network. When I plays around the house with other friends, they belongs to a childhood network. Then, start a primary school and secondary, another network. The network of family members from relative’s side become bigger as the numbers of child increased. You will have even bigger network if you are representative of school or university. Sometimes, having the same interest and enthusiast, we create more specific network, this network ensure the good activities and social interaction between members. Thinking wider, some guys are popular because of their talents in sport, art, music etc. It can create an enormous network up to worldwide level and you have a lot of fans.

Ok, now if you realize the existence of networks, how can we use these networks to do some serious positive thing. Let’s think about an established well-known company. You can name some of these such as Boeing, Hyundai, BMW, Nokia, Nestle, P&G etc. In whatever industry sector they involve, they are good on maintaining the “company network”. Yes, it’s true that there are some will be retired and some will be recruited but these companies manage to have good employees working together to achieve the same objective. From my opinion, they succeed to produce or to provide services by having a good collaboration, know-how transfer, necessary technology, financial stability and balance of technical-managerial skills. Bigger company network, bigger the staff number, but if managed carefully the result is bigger as well.

Online network is one of the biggest network in the world. It’s reachable to almost every where. It seems like easy to know a stranger who’s from out of nowhere. The good thing is business nowadays become accessible to every corner of the planet. Make use of it and let’s create a good network that will generate the best products and the best services. I see the opportunity is there and furthermore people now more educated, they want to be employed as soon as they graduated. Thus, select talented graduates, find some skillful staffs (around 3-5) and hire 1 or 2 credible managers to create your company network. Finance your capital and start doing serious thing. It must be very REWARDING.

Brand – Local Brand to the International Market

I have left unwritten this blog for quite awhile, now I try to add some nourishing post. I like to buy from good brand for some stuffs, they are well known for their name and quality. When i buy a branded item, i often look for it’s original country, it’s sound like ‘Made in Vietnam’.. but when i see the three stripes covering a part of the thing, i just accepted it as something that has a good quality regardless the location of manufacturing site. Many big brands outsource their factories all over the world especially in lower wage man power country.

The main idea is how they maintain the good quality of products. Normally the local brand don’t have as good quality as theirs. Local brand meant to have the cheapest price that are affordable for average and lower class people. They sacrifice the quality on lowering the price.

On the other hand, if you buy the local brand product, you help the development of local economy. Money is circulating and the economy runs smoother. On the other case, some percentage of revenue goes outside the country which increasing your country’s inflation when you buy from international brand.

My point is, if we could make our brand become so good that people can buy confidently and will penetrate the international market in the future; and this is very interesting. Create our brand for our own country first. We have already has Petronas, Proton, Sapura and Modenas. Why don’t we establish some new brand for other thing like boats, electronic giant (like samsung & sony), multimedia giant (like fujitsu, IBM, HP), heavy duty vehicule (like CASE, Caterpillar, Kobelco), mechanical equipment : pumps, compressors, bearings, jack, tools, etc (like Hitachi, BOSCH, Viessman, SKF, KSB). I know that the food and beverage (F&B) is on the expansion, we got our own plus the international brand like KFC, McD, Keanu Rogers, Burger King; but our own is not as many as the international. For this franchisee for example McD, they have to pay 10% of their profit to McD US. The ideal is we create our own franchise network. Make it as fast food, master the cooking style and rebrand it.

I would and dream to see some our brand emerged from now on. I really want to see something change about our economy and self esteem.. Japan, China and even Taiwan have already several international brand which are very very strong in world market.

Well, we must work smart and hard to get there.

Relationship

To have a relationship between a guy and a girl is considered as necessity but to hold, it is sometimes difficult and time consuming. It also demands patience, persistence and tolerance. Falling in love is good for everybody. It soften your heart a little bit. ‘First step’ is usually initiated by a man but undeniably, woman does it seldom.

A relationship or an affection provides a better comprehension and understanding between two opposite sex. Each party must show interest and contribute to make the relationship last longer. Tolerance and forgiveness are qualities to assure the its strength.

Remind yourself that a relationship never be your problem. Make sure it is your solution. If you are in the first case, you must redefine what is the objective to have a soul mate.

Aim high

You may hear about this topic when u read about any motivational articles. I’m here to write a little of my opinion about this. I have a brother who one day ask me how he could become in the future. He has not even taken the final exam of high school, in his head he think that he can’t do the best to get a good result. What am I worried is how he has already plan for further step, which college and which course he want apply to. I gave a very simple advice, whenever u think about future, aim high always. Never take the worst model to make as your future dream person. My parents seldom see the bad thing or experiences of relatives as a benchmark. I totally don’t agree. They drop the colorful dream of their sons. So, to be in great practice of thinking, my brother is advised to aim high enough. If we can’t get to that position or level, at least someday we can get to the level just below to it. Mind is powerful thinking generator. But you must provide it with good objective. When we say ‘it is good enough for me to be … ‘, our mind is limited to that level.

To conclude, aim high and take a very positive successful model in order to be like his/her.

A good user vs a good developer

I am very impressed by the way that certain things ever build are used to the maximum and creatively. If I’m in the shoes of the developer, I would feel honored and appreciated if the user of my product are being utilized up to its capacity. I try to give u an example, when a phone is invented, it should work to link from an end to the other end. This is the basic and essential function of a phone. Then, they put a short message service (SMS) into it. The user use sms to send msg rather than telling by voice. Next, we have MMS, we snap a photo that we think memorable and distinguisable and then send it to our friend. Without voice and words, we succeed to describe a phenomena thanks to MMS. Then, it comes 3G.. you know better than me. Phone becomes more important as it can also manage our daily appointment and keep our tasks in order. It also tell us about where are we by using Global Positioning System embedded under it.

Ya, when u are user, u maybe feel it is a indinspensable stuff in these days. User seems to search the advantages of their possession. On the other hand, as a developer, we always think differently, we want it be a very useful and robust. Days of reflexion are sacrified just to make it relevant and user friendly. If the user appreciates their product, it is very rewarding to the developer team.

So, be a good user ; use your stuff to the maximum. Maybe it provides more than u want but u have paid for the ‘extra’ functionalities.

For the developer, the world don’t stop turning so never stop improve our quality of life in inventing something which is useful, environmental friendly, and ‘beautiful’..
